Vaagdevi Pharmacy College has set up a benchmark through its excellent academic program and quality education. With a rigorous placement training program and broad academic excellence, we strive to provide the best to our student community. We are ready for productive contributions from day One. The college provides holistic personality development programs that train students to face real-life problems in the corporate world. Role and Responsibilities of Training & Placement Cell

  1. To look after the training and placement activities of students.
  2. To have close liaison with industry for placement of students
  3. To work in consultation with Coordinator Industry‐Institute Interaction for organizing lectures from the professionals from industry.
  4. To collect feedback from the companies coming for placement.
  5. Arrange Training programmes for soft and for interview facing skills for the students using institutional and external expertise.
  6. To organize entrepreneurship workshops.

Soft skill program

  1. To arrange training for the students in soft skills.
  2. To arrange expert lectures from other organizations to train on Employability Skills.
  3. Arrange workshops on Group Discussion and Interview Skills.
  4. Interact with various Industries and establish Recruitment Drives and also for conducting Seminars to make the students aware of the latest trends in various areas.
  5. To arrange before each recruitment drive a company/specific training session to make the students concentrate on the specific skills required for that Industry.
  6. After completion of each recruitment drive, a feedback session for all the students will be collected so as to analyze and make the students aware of the reasons for not getting selected.

Placement policy

  1. Maximum number of students get on-campus placement.
  2. To maintain the quality standards of the jobs offered.
  3. To ensure that the whole team works according to the defined processes to achieve the common objectives.
  4. Training & Placement cell will endeavor to bring together the students and the potential employing organizations and facilitate interactions between the two.
  5. All the placements will be routed through the Training & Placement cell.

Placement Cell Members

The Placement cell is responsible for campus placements .The Professor in charge, Placement Executive, the faculties & the student representatives handle various crucial tasks like reaching out to companies, scheduling & executing placement-related activities. The team strives to strike a match between recruiter expectations & student aspirations.

Placement process

Placement process of the recruiting companies will comprise few or all of the below:
